BriXton Celebrates Elvis with an Event featuring Live Music, Hairstyling, Memorabilia & “Specialty” Sandwiches Dedicated to the Memory of The King!
(Redondo Beach, CA, January 12, 2010):
Though a few weeks late, BriXton is excited to celebrate Elvis’ birthday in a big way on January 23, 2010. BriXton is incorporating area businesses in the festivities and inviting all local Elvis fans to “Dress Like the King” and receive $5.00 off admission price night of show!
BriXton will be featuring quirky Elvis-themed acts Dread Zeppelin (reggae-influenced renditions of classic Led Zeppelin anthems capped off by Presley-like vocals by a 300 pound Vegas Elvis impersonator) and Evliss Simmons & the Memphis Strutters (rockabilly lounge versions of Kiss songs and heavy guitar versions of classic Elvis songs). Both acts are national and local favorites with Robert Plant personally endorsing Dread Zeppelin! Concertgoers can experience rock star treatment for the night with Ultra Lux Salon providing complimentary Elvis-inspired hairstyles for the night by their top stylists. Aaardvarks Redondo Beach location is getting in the fun, providing giveaways including Elvis-style glasses & wigs!
Guests can dine like a rock n roll king too with Pinkies BBQ providing specialty peanut butter & banana sandwiches for sale for the night! Elvis fans can also peruse Elvis memorabilia throughout the night, provided by Rock and Roll Emporium from their hugely popular Huntington Beach location.
